Spencer, 29, made his NBA debut with the Warriors in the 2023-24 season after he signed a two-way contract in February. Last season, he played in 39 regular-season games, averaging 2.5 points per game. Golden State converted him to a regular contract in March, allowing him to play eight NBA playoff games for the Warriors as well.
With Golden State shorthanded, Spencer has stepped into a big role and proven he's much more than a lacrosse player in the NBA.
Golden State is waiving rookie forward Alex Toohey, the team announced Monday afternoon. League sources had previously confirmed the move to the Bay Area News Group. Toohey was selected No. 52 overall out of Australia and was part of the massive seven-team trade that saw Kevin Durant go to the Rockets.
Jimmy Butler was among the team’s veteran players who returned to the lineup in Sunday’s win over the Bulls, finishing with 19 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. After the game, Butler praised the Warriors’ energy and effort to finish off the road trip.
Pat Spencer had a career-high 19 points and seven assists in his first NBA start, helping Golden State to a 99-94 win in Cleveland.
Iverson, a Sixers legend, averaged 31.1 points, 4.6 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.5 steals in 2000-01. The scoring average and steals average led the league that season and the electricity and energy he played with on a nightly basis was something to behold as he earned the respect of his teammates as well as his peers.
