On your computer, go to Gmail. Enter your Google Account email or phone number and password. If information is already filled in and you have to sign in to a different account, click Use another account. If you get a page that describes Gmail instead of the sign-in page, at the top right of the page, click Sign in.
To open Gmail, you can log in from a computer, or add your account to the Gmail app on your phone or tablet. Once you've signed in, check your email by opening your inbox.
Follow the onscreen information to add Gmail to your account. When you add Gmail, your Gmail address will become the primary username on your account. It will be what others see when you share information, such as documents or photos, from your Google Account. Your original email address will become the recovery address on your account.

I changed my phone number. Now I can't get into my google account because of two step verification. I tried using account recovery. I don't understand why this process is so hard. Google has no support for account recovery even when i have solid proof because I am lucky still logged in on my phone and I have the password.
